THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

Drop your items off to us or we can arrange a pick up at your home or facility. Then we will determine, along with you the price at which to start the bidding based on comparable items and also recent sales of those items on EBay. Please consider that the market place EBay has created is very fast moving and well priced Items sell quickly! Low starting prices are often the best way for a successful auction. Prices realized on EBay are more in line with wholesale prices, unless something is rare or much sought after?

QTB will clean tack, then take professional photos of your item, and create a listing offering detailed descriptions and information of the item. Original receipts of items or any additional information from a seller is very helpful!

Reserves can be added to auctions, there is a higher charge for those auctions and that charge will be deducted from the amount paid to the consignee.

We will then post the item on EBay and monitor your auction for a period of 7 days. If an item does not sell in the first 7 day auction, we will contact you to see if a lower starting price could be negotiated. Most well priced saddles sell within the first week!

We often also advertise saddles and equipment on local equestrian websites and on occasion participate in Tack sales. Antique or vintage items could also be placed in the booth operated by QTB in the San Francisco Antique and Design Mall. We also participate in the Alameda Point Flea Market the first Sunday of every month.

Some more expensive or “custom” saddles may require a “48 hour Trial Period” this is done only after the saddle is paid in full.

When the auction is complete, we will notify the winner, process the payment, package and
Ship the item. All saddle are insured and ship FedEx Ground, smaller items are shipped USPS Priority Mail.

QTB charges an “All Inclusive” Commission fee with the exclusion of the “Reserve” auction fee. If items are unusually dirty or in need of special attention a higher fee might have to be considered.

The Commission fee includes all listing and gallery fees, EBay final value fee & PayPal charges. All Inclusive Commission Fees are based on the Final Selling Price

25% for all saddles sold at $1500.00 and above
30% for all saddles sold under $1500.00
40% for all other consignment items

ALL SADDLES MUST BE IN SOUND USABLE CONDITION! IF A SADDLE HAS A DAMAGED TREE THAT IS NOT DISCLOSED THE SELLER WOULD BE RESPOSIBLE FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING AND ALL EBAY & PAYPAL FEES.
